Smartphone Photographs Takes Marketing Online to a New Level

You no longer have to be an expert photographer to take a picture that can draw thousands of fans. A strange looking picture on an angle, with a filter that looks like it was taken from the 1960’s is what people love looking at these days.

The old Polaroid pictures taken out of those huge old cameras have come back into fashion again. There is a little twist on how you take these types of pictures. Don’t worry no one is suggesting you run out to a second hand store to see if you can find an old camera. If you have a Smartphone you are in luck!

Instagram has allowed just about anyone with a Smartphone to become a savvy and trendy photographer. Adding cool filters to shots gives photographs that old world feel or a brilliant coloration and a fun looking angle. The person with the phone camera gets to decide how the world will view their pictures.

Smartphone’s have revolutionized photography. For instance the iPhone5 has 8 megapixels in the rear camera, while in the front there is 1.2 megapixels of resolution. That’s pretty amazing! Once upon a time a camera like that was worth hundreds of dollars.

If you want clearer facial shots then it has strongly been suggested to use the front camera on the iPhone5. For marketing purposes and promoting yourself via your business, shooting great facial shots is important. Many people may not be aware of this little tip, but who wants to see every flaw in your skin with an 8 megapixel shot anyway?

The android phones, depending on what brand you have, vary in pixels. The Samsung Galaxy S III has an 8 Megapixel Camera with a LED Flash and the Samsung Galaxy S Relay has a 5.0 Megapixel Camera. Blackberry Bold has 5 megapixels of camera.

What you need to gauge is how close you are going to take a picture, especially if it is a facial shot. If you are loading photographs into Instagram, you still need to take a picture that people will admire and not end up laughing at (that is unless you want them too).

Of course, you can always modify your shot in Instagram but if the shot is still too close it will look awful and your nose will look out of proportion to your face. However. if you are promoting clowns, this could be very good for business.

Something to think about the next time you snap a shot of your face?
